Description

On May 31st, 1921, a white mob attacked the thriving Greenwood neighborhood (known as Black Wall Street) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The attack would last for two days and result in an estimated 300 black citizens were murdered and over 10,000 citizens left homeless from the destruction. The Tulsa Race Riot of 1921 is one of the worst massacres in American history. But this event has been largely forgotten by most Americans.
