Tempted to marry up? Being 'unequally yoked' as it were can actually have security clearance career implications, particularly if it's clear your marriage was a result of marriage tourism, a mail-order-bride, or some other similar situation where a foreign national or even a U.S. citizen with limited means finds themselves in a relationship with someone who is so far out of their league it's a national security issue. Your love interests do play a role in the national security eligibility process, and you'll need to disclose your 'bonds of affection' to your security officer.
