Do you understand the power of the words that you use? Our language determines our self-belief, confidence, and the way that we present ourselves to the world.
In this episode, I am joined by the incredible Mark England. Mark is a TEDx speaker and the co-founder of Enlifted and Procabulary. Mark holds a Masters’ Degree in education, has a background in mixed martial arts, and was an elementary school sports teacher before getting into personal development. Since then, Mark has been researching, presenting, and coaching on the power of words and stories for the past 14 years. Mark has worked with hundreds of fitness coaches over the past few years to help them separate from the competition and create more impact through teaching them the power of language and how they can utilize this skill with their clients and themselves.
Mark and I talk about how he discovered his passion for words, stories, and language. He explains how we can all use our language to empower our lives, how to use language to build up our self-confidence, the difference between constricted spells and expansive spells, and language exercises that we can all use.
Mark used to live his life with a never-ending victim mindset which sucked the joy, motivation, and connection out of his life. When Mark was guided to learn about the power of language, he finally understood that his words were what had defined the story that he was living. When we use the same words over and over again, it’s no wonder that we continue to get the same cyclical results. Our addiction to our victim mindset can be cured - it just takes the awareness and willingness to change the language you are using so you can change the direction of your life.
