Change is the only permanent thing in life. We can provoke it, or it can simply happen in our lives and force us to adapt. It is always scary, uncomfortable, and full of obstacles, but it also means growth, progress, and eventually, happiness and fulfillment. 

Our behavior is a set of habits we develop to meet our needs, avoid pain, and seek pleasure. To create change in our lives, what we need to do is change our habits.
