Welcome to Universal Grace Podcast. I'm your host Nadine Grace. This episode is part of a 4 part series - How to Awaken Your True Potential -Part Four

Most people struggle to feel happiness and joy every day because they are chasing things that they can NEVER EVER catch in the first place. When we are subconsciously setting these goals: goals like I wanna change my life, goals like I wanna be more financially abundant, goals like I wanna be healthier, often what’s really happening if we aren’t careful is we aren’t really setting a goal in the actual pursuit of wanting to actually achieve that goal.

We are setting that goal because we know deep down that it will make us feel a specific way. We are telling ourselves a story once I achieve that goal I will give myself the permission to feel these emotions. And so…. have you ever noticed these experiences in your life, you achieve one goal and you truly believe that it would’ve made you feel a specific way, but that feeling is short-lived. And then you begin to set another goal, another goal, another goal. Understand this: when you’re emotionally attached to your goals,

you don’t own your goals, they own you.

We are all in control of our lives and we all can give ourselves permission to feel good to feel whatever emotions we want to feel whenever we choose to feel them. Suffering is really optional. We choose to suffer based on what we give our attention to. Based on what we choose to focus on. We have the freedom to choose what we focus on. And what we focus on determines how we feel and our emotional state
