This week I talk to Seamus Doherty about the 1973 film Badlands written and Directed by Terrence Malick, Starring: Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek.
Plot Synopsis
When 25 year old Kit, a refuse collector, starts a romance with 15 year old Holly, Holly’s farther doesn’t approve and warns Kit off. What follows is a journey into desperation and madness. As Kit shoots Holly’s father and takes holly on the run after burning down her family home.
Kit and Holly live a serene life in the woods until bounty hunters catch them, then they really start running as the tagline says “In 1959 a lot of people were killing time. Kit and Holly were killing people.”
