In this episode I chat to Jaycee, aka Cupcake Girl, of Ligaya Bakery. Ligaya serves cupcakes, bubble tea, soft serve and generally sweet delights with Filipino flavours, and they've now opened a permanent spot in Tooting Broadway. I talk to Jaycee about how she became 'Cupcake Girl' and about the delicate balance of wanting to give Filipinos a taste of home, but also creating something accessible to the local audience.
Jaycee gave shout outs to Flat Iron Steak, Hawksmoor, The Alley bubble tea, Biju Bubble Tea and the Filipino festival Barrio Fiesta.
