I first came across Amanda Adé when she posted a video to her Instagram page after the death of George Floyd, in answer to the number of people she saw commenting in various outlets questioning outrage here in Ireland as it was happening so far away. She spoke so eloquently and beautifully about an ugly truth and she amassed a following from there. While she has many other interests on her page she continues to post about how we can become better allies or better still a coalition. She is now a co host of the hugely successful Black and Irish podcast based on the Instagram page of the same name, she has her own podcast Box’d Out which deals with different uncomfortable topics every week and so I knew she’d be ok with being asked to do the same for this podcast.
Amanda is one seriously cool chick, smart, open, compassionate, eloquent, I loved this conversation.
