Muffet McGraw was the women's basketball head coach at Notre Dame for 33 seasons, winning two national championships and scoring her entry into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011. But her voice resonated outside the sports world during a 2019 Final Four press conference, where she spoke out about the lack of women in leadership positions in a 2-minute address that went viral.
After the 2021 NCAA tournaments, Jennifer invited Coach McGraw on the show to discuss widespread criticism that the association doesn't value its women players. as much as the men – criticism that started with the players themselves. Coach McGraw explains what led her to finally speak up after years of coaching, how the pandemic brought these issues into stark relief, and why the players (both men and women) give her hope.
