Even though Mary Trump believes her uncle Donald Trump is a weak and “deeply sick” man, it still wasn’t easy for her to stand up to him and write a tell-all book about her family. In her interview with Jennifer Palmieri, she uses her PhD in psychology to explain how toxic dynamics created by her grandparents trickled down to the rest of the family, how she was able to avoid some of those influences, and what gave her the courage to take on the most powerful man in the free world by writing her new book Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man. She uses that same understanding to predict how President Trump (though she wishes people would just call him Donald) will react to the results of the upcoming election.
