The name Glen Dehring is one that is synonymous with WA Country Cricket and in this episode, we get to hear from the man himself, his incredible Country Cricket story and journey of the past 4 decades. In a career that arguably stands alone amongst so many of his peers, Dehro's tentative early steps in establishing his Cricket career in Bunbury, through to dominating the local scene, Senior Country Week forays, selection in the WA Country XI and ultimately selection as Captain of the Australian Country XI are all captured in this episode. Significantly however, is that this episode also chronicles one of the most famous matches to be played in WA Country Cricket history ... a match simply now known as the "Sav Match", a Country Cup final played on the WACA back in 2005, that etched Bunbury player, Richard Savage's name into the history books and saw Glen Dehrings name also captured for history, in a way that many may not have heard before. This is a fabulous episode featuring a true legend of WA Country Cricket. Sit back and enjoy the wonderful journey of the Master Blaster of WA Country Cricket - Glen Dehring.
