After Willie Mullins dominated the Dublin Racing Festival by winning ALL eight Grade 1s, the Closutton yard are now targeting one of the big UK handicaps, the Betfair Hurdle, at Newbury on Saturday. Castle des Mottes will be ridden by the in-form Danny Mullins and heads the market for Newbury’s feature. The returning Nico de Boinville will partner Iberico Lord for Nicky Henderson, with the Harry Fry-trained Altobelli also well fancied in the market.
Elsewhere on Newbury’s Super Saturday card, Shishkin makes his return after unseating when leading in the King George at Kempton and there are a host of other top-class performers to look forward to.
