Description

Sometimes I feel guilty about seeking happiness when I consider the state of the world. Apparently, this is a fairly common thing for people who are: lonely, anxious, depressed, perfectionist, experienced childhood trauma, etc. I hit quite a few of those checkboxes so I feel especially attacked. As a way to improve the maladaptive response, I am focusing on gratitude and exposure therapy. Addressing the feeling when they arise and allowing myself to sit with them.
