Description

Have you ever thought of taking a break from your daily life and traveling the world with just your backpack? Since I read for the first time the book Eat, Pray and Love, I have always dreamt of this possibility. Leaving everything behind, packing the essentials, and just being with yourslef while exploring the world has become a way for numerous people to rediscover themselves. While I haven’t been able to accomplish this dream of mine yet, I recently reconnected with a childhood friend who had this life-changing experience by making a pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago, one of the most popular pilgrimage routes in the world.

The Camino de Santiago is a collection of European pilgrim routes that finish in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Pilgrims walk between 7 and 30 days to receive their Compostela or certificate of completion. Many reports that the Camino is an incredible experience and opportunity to disconnect and experience a slower daily life with few modern interruptions.

In this episode of The Dream, The Date & The Broken Bra, I am joined by Megan Eddy. Megan is a yoga teacher who devoted most of her 30s to traveling the world and making two pilgrimages on the Camino de Santiago in Europe. Throughout this episode, Megan shares her experience in doing the Camino de Santiago, why this was a transformative experience and her traveling plans for the future.
