We may have spent the last couple of years following the vaccine roll out and getting a little obsessed with who’s had what and when we’re eligible for another one.
But what do you actually know about how a vaccine is created, tested and rolled out?
Our guest this week is Dr Sean Elias, an immunologist and science communicator based at the Jenner Institute, University of Oxford, where the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine was developed.
But we’re not just talking about the Covid19 vaccine, Sean has worked on a number of studies and clinical trials testing vaccines developed against a host of different infectious diseases, including Malaria, Ebola and Salmonella both in the UK and in Africa.
So join us as we explore vaccines from start to, well, not ever really finished.
Cheers
