I could hear the raised voices as I walked down my street, surely that couldn’t be coming from my house? My Mum and Dad never argued. But as I got closer I realised that it was my Mum and Dad. I wondered what could have happened to make them fight like that.
I opened the front door and the shouting hit me like a tonne of bricks.
“You betrayed me!”
“No! It was you who betrayed me!”
“I hate you! I never want to see you again.”
That was my Mum, why would she say something like that to Dad? I wondered what he could have done.
“Don’t worry! I’m out of here!” shouted Dad. “Do you really think I want to spend another minute of my time with someone like you?”
This couldn’t be happening!
