Mauro de Bettio was born in Italy and discovered his passion for travelling late in life. He started his adventures, in his now second home, India. Something fascinated him about the country, the colours, the people. His dream came true and he is now an acclaimed travel and portrait photographer. This journey around the globe also brought him to Nairobi where the poverty he witnessed moved him so much he felt he had to do something about it, he set up The Malaika Foundation. Feeding 150 street kids every week the charity wants to do so much more and needs more funds. We had to get his story out with thanks to Tessa Risso-Restano.
