Description

Nick Tesar is not one to sit still. He has been at the helm of some of Melbourne’s most respected venues (Gin Palace, Lûmé, Bar Liberty). He has countless industry accolades under his belt, winning Timeout Australian Bartender of the Year in 2020 and consistently gracing the top 25 lists for bartenders in Australia. While many peers are focused on gin or whisky, Nick is always looking into the future of drinking. In episode three of 'The Source', we learn what rituals allow Nick to find balance and space working with Marionette by day and Bar Liberty by night.

This episode is brought to you by Melbourne Cocktail Festival - the week-long festival running from 4th-10th April celebrating the best of Melbourne’s cocktail culture through events in 30 of the city’s best bars, a city-wide Bar Safari with venues featuring bespoke cocktails created for the festival and Spash!

Alongside the team at Melbourne Cocktail Festival, this episode is also brought to you by Nick Tesar's very own Marionette. Started by four old hands in the Melbourne hospitality space, they make their liqueurs in Melbourne using fruit sourced directly from Australian farmers. Research trips around the country helped them identify their future partners - from an organic almond farm in Mildura, to a third-generation berry farm in Tasmania's Derwent Valley
