- Adalberto Rubbadam:
Adalberto is an engaged kinkster based in Amsterdam. He started exploring his kinky interests in the leather scene more than fifteen years ago, after moving to The Netherlands. In the last years, he has been particularly active in the rubber scene, nationally and internationally. He held the titles of Mr Rubber Netherlands 2019 and Mr International Rubber 2020-2021 (MIR23).
He has been a driving force in establishing rubber social events in Amsterdam and Rotterdam to create safe spaces for rubbermen and rubber-curious people to meet and to grow the community. He worked actively on the visibility of the Dutch Rubbermen: in 2019, he led for the first time a group of rubbermen at several Pride walks, from Amsterdam to Zwolle. He strengthened and established new contacts between many rubber clubs worldwide, and currently he volunteers on the Dutch Rubbermen core team.
Adalberto is a ballroom enthusiast (PoseFX anyone?), and likes to play with gender stereotypes. Talking body positivity and emancipation, Adalberto has supported the NoMoreC project for HepC prevention (do check: www.nomorec.nl for some very easy tips!).
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a pivotal role to organise fun online rubber pub quiz events in collaboration with many rubber clubs worldwide, keeping social togetherness in times of physical distancing.
In May 2020, he started the online Kinky Talks together with his now good friend Hans West: a safe space for lighthearted but serious talks for kinksters looking to spice up their kinky life, to learn new things and share experiences. With invited experts, community leaders and yourself! From the community, for the community.

Adalberto and Hans are both – each in their own way – kinksters and we met at the end of 2019 at café Prik in Amsterdam, around the idea to launch a Miss Rubber Netherlands title. We got to talk about how things that can be so hot and juicy sometimes turn so nasty because of a lack of knowledge. And we both felt that we needed to do something about that (within limits). Soon the pandemic hit, and online meetings became a daily routine.
That’s how the Kinky Talks were born: online talks without convictions, clever, together… because the bubble knows more and we can all help each other to get things… erhmm NOT so straight #kink ;-)
