“Robert!” The words hung in her throat as her mind raced with all of the things she wanted to say to him. ‘I miss you, I want you, I love you, I hate you, why don’t you leave me alone, come find me, stay away…’ the thoughts came so hard and fast that she didn’t even hear the sound of his voice on the other end of the line.
