On this week's episode, we explore the best of the western side of Victoria at Ararat. Plenty of sweeping landscapes and natural beauty from the scenic Mount Cole, Mount Langi Ghiran State Park, Ararat Hills Regional Park and the world renowned Grampians National Park, which was right on our doorstep.
We thought we would take a famous tour, I mean lets face it who isn't fascinated with dark history and keen on taking a step back in time at the iconic J-Ward Gaol or Aradale Asylum? It was the creepiest tour ever!
Did we spot a ghost, did something go bump in the night?
We also delved into a richer era and discovered Ararat’s place in the Victorian gold rush.
Caravan and camping options are aplenty in Ararat, from luxury glamping or established Caravan Parks in the heart of town to the picturesque Greenhill Lake. If you prefer sites off the beaten track the Eastern side of the Grampians have plenty to offer including Lake Bolac and Pomonal.
The Grampians region is a caravanners dream! Holiday-makers are spoilt for choice with plenty of options for places to stay, attractions to see and award-winning dining options to savour. Prepare to enjoy the unexpected diversity that the region has to offer.
With so much to see and do, why not make Eastern Grampians your next holiday destination?
