Covid lockdowns meant adventures close to home base for a lot of Victorians. Just one hour from Melbourne, the Warburton Valley is life at nature’s pace.
Here the beginnings of Melbourne's river the Yarra was once home to a busy and forgotten goldfield. Nestled in the start of the Great Dividing Range, the rugged mountains also housed a busy timber industry that sprang forth.
We took a trip and put on the walking boots and hiked through this area and found a long lost goldmine and discovered parts of the hidden goldfields in the area. Join us to find our more, on the doorstep of Melbourne
