Helena Rose is a Folksinger from Waynesville,
North Carolina. She’s been making music in one way or another since the age of 8 when she first picked up guitar & banjo and started pickin strings!
Says! She has “always wanted to create music folks will relate to in the most genuine & authentic way” to share who she truly is through her songs.
In 2013 she was cast and starred in a Lifetime television series called “Chasing Nashville” the show followed four ambitious teen Singers from Appalachia, and the high drama & competition they encounter like no other singing show as they and their families, lay it all on the line in pursuit of fame & fortune in Country music. Emphasis on the high drama rather than the music left the show short lived.
The experience had Helena Rose wanting to create something truly real & relatable with her music and art. After the show ended she enrolled at East Tennessee State University where she got her degree in Biology, joined an Old-Time Bluegrass County & Celtic Band called “Bill and the Belles” then hit the road!
They had many great adventures touring in the UK and all across the United States spreading their Old-Time & Country music! She left the group last year and is currently “pickin on her banjo 🪕” & working on songs for a Solo project.

Helena Rose is an Old-Time Banjo pickin folksinging songster!
Who writes beautifully written songs full of emotion & expression in a most authentic and genuine way.
She shares herself fully through what she writes and sings, not afraid of being vulnerable and expressing what she’s feeling.
First line sets the tone for the whole song and brings to life them hard talks that some of us have known and had to face. Swallowing real hard and building up the courage to say the things that need to be said. Being honest with what emotions surface from ones heart.
First line “ I need tell you something I kept bottled up inside, you should know this won’t be easy to do.” Such a great opening!
I sure have felt this. And rings true in my own life, I haven’t always been courageous enough to share with someone how I felt or was thinking. She really paints the picture of the struggle & feelings
Had such a great time hanging out with Helena Rose and getting to know her a bit through her songs.
I see such awesome things ahead for this Singer/Songwriter!
