Lucia is a Songwriter from the West Coast. The Bay area originally, but has been living in her Mothers ancestral land of Stockholm Sweden for almost ten years now where she went to study music. She’s currently working on releasing an EP and enjoying all beauty around her so rich in history!🇸🇪

Lucia is a young folksinger living in Stockholm Sweden.
She’s part of the ever growing Scandinavian folk & Americana music scene.
Really loving Lucia’s style & sound with passionate vocals and poetic lyrics enlivened with emotion this combination makes for great songs and beautiful songwriting.
Her song “Gray” is beautifully constructed and tells a story in its vagueness. Awesome lines like “My guard was high enough, convinced me I should give it up, I left my heart out on my sleeve and that’s on me.”
Or my favorite “ I thought your Love was true, that this was nothing you could do, but as I told you bout the pain you looked away.” Wow!

Also her song “To Keep You Warm” such an awesome intro with snowflakes and all! For her Gems in the Rough 2021 submission video for this song! The emotion she brings to this performance is outstanding and feels so honest. Lines like “your sudden anger took me by surprise, I changed my whole life to keep you warm at night” and “Tried to keep my head down not make a sound” blown away by them vocal runs she’s doing when she sings

For a Crabtree Sessions Thursday Poetry & Written Word night
Jordan is a talented Poet, Artist & Songwriter from the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania. Truly enjoyed hosting Jordan and having him share his poetry & music.
Jordan has had a bunch of pieces published and most recently has been working on a collection called “American Meditations” beautiful and thought provoking poems.
My favorite of the night was his poem “With God #2” in which he paints a picture of Small town, mine country living with its stories, legends & the folks you might run into on a walk around the block. So good! 🙌
He also shared some songs with us too!
“Throw Me In” is the title of the one he submitted to the 2021 Gems in the rough contest! Great song!Also loved his Uke tune “Tree Psalm” a beautiful ode to them majestic trees that we grew up climbing, swinging from & building tree forts in!
