Witnessing the rise of Germany's new leader, Adolf Hitler, Jojo is quickly swept up in the Nationalistic fervor as he becomes a fanatic for Nazism. However, his ideology is put to the test when he discovers that his mother Rose (Scarlett Johansson) his not only assisting the German Resistance, but hiding a young Jewish girl from the Gestapo.
