The latest batch of ships involved with the Global Samud Flotilla has set sail, so I thought it might be a good time to speak with one of the organisers to get a greater understanding of what is involved and what the hopes are for this movement. Fortunately, Karen Moynihan, Irish co-ordinator with the Global Movement to Gaza campaign generously gave us some time, and also, a renewed sense of hope.
