Today we take a deep dive in to the local Government arts programming and who better to join us than Lisa Estrano, Event Programmer, City of Joondalup. An artist in her own right, as a seamstress for years, Lisa has seen the local arts scene develop from many angles and is bringing something unique to the City of Joondalup in 2023.
The Joondalup Festival is a new arts and culture festival held in the Northern Suburbs, being led by a brand new team. Whilst the Joondalup Festival had existed previously, and with great success - it has now grown from a one weekend, single site event to a 3-week calendar event with
programming held throughout the area. City of Joondalup spans as north as Burns Beach and south as Warwick (about 20km!)
