When it was released, the slow-burning Paranormal Activity was widely considered to be one of the scariest films ever made. It may not be as scary as it once was when viewed through the lens of modernity, but it manages to retain its status as a genre-defining found-footage horror movie that leaves the audience on edge throughout.
