Our look into John Woo's Hollywood movies continues this week with Broken Arrow, the Hong Kong director's second American effort and one of his more underrated ones at that. Featuring a John Travolta performance that deserves just as many flowers as his more notorious turn in 1997's Face/Off, an all-timer score from Hans Zimmer, and a Graham Yost script that complemented Woo's intimate depictions of male relationships, Broken Arrow is one of the great '90s action thrillers and one that surely deserves greater recognition. Ewan is once again joined by Dan in this episode to discuss the ups and downs of Woo's sophomore Hollywood venture, and whether it could have benefited from a few different approaches to take it to the next level.
