Our wee Woo season comes to a close this week with a look back at one of the director's most underrated efforts: WINDTALKERS. Reuniting Woo with Nicolas Cage and Christian Slater, Windtalkers tells the story of the Navajo codetalkers who were instrumental in the US' island hopping campaign against the Japanese during World War 2. Although a critical and box office disappointment, Windtalkers has been reappraised in recent years as one of Woo's best Hollywood productions. So, how does it hold up? Joining Ewan to answer that question is Reel Early podcast host and Woovember extraordinaire Larry Sternshein, who actually hadn't seen Windtalkers until coming on for the show.
