Description

William Friedkin sadly passed away this month. A legendary filmmaker and a favourite of Ewan's, this week's We Love Dad Movies is dedicated to celebrating the Chicago-born director and one of his many masterpieces - 1985's To Live and Die in L.A. A spiritual, fluorescent successor to 1971's The French Connection, To Live and Die in L.A. features sensational performances from Willem Dafoe and William Petersen - one a counterfeiter, the other a Secret Service agent in his pursuit, both with a death wish. Dan Grima joins the podcast yet again for his first watch of the film, as we dive into what makes it and Friedkin so special.
