Description

When Melissa Gould’s husband, Joel, was unexpectedly hospitalized, she was certain the doctors would help him and he would come home. But her husband, who suffered from MS, fell into a coma and died 3 weeks later from West Nile Virus. He never made it home. Melissa talks with Kelsey about how she and her teenage daughter began to rebuild their lives without Joel. During that time, Melissa struggled to understand what being a “widow” meant to her, and how she would move forward. Life continued to surprise her as she navigated grief, said goodbye to an old life, and eventually fell in love again. Melissa's is an inspiring story about the twists and turns in life, the journeys we take that we never expected, and the hardships, and gifts, that teach us so much.
