Description

One of the most grueling tasks that an entrepreneur looking to scale has to undertake is raising capital from investors. This stage is even more difficult for minority founders who may not have access to a big network of venture capitalists (VCs). However, the rise of VCs aware of this marginalization has increased access to capital for all.

Today, I’m joined by Natalia Bishop, a General Partner at Renew VC. She is also the Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at The University of Louisville, where she focuses on building a regional ecosystem that launches, attracts, and supports scalable companies focused on health-equity issues. She has been recognized by Louisville Business First with the 40 under 40 awards and participates on multiple boards, including GLI’s Tech First and Wild Accelerator.

In this episode, Natalia shares how she shifted from a creative entrepreneur to a technology entrepreneur. You’ll also hear how she got into the VC world and the motivation behind it. Additionally, she’ll share a few entrepreneurial lessons she has learnt along the way.

Tune in to episode 35 of The Brand Therapist and learn more about Natalia’s entrepreneurship journey.
