Misty Copeland is the principal ballet dancer for the American Ballet Theatre, the first African American woman to hold that role in the 75-year history of the theatre. Her journey to this moment is an incredible one. She is a powerhouse and superstar in the world of ballet, and had to overcome so much to find her footing. Despite not starting ballet until the age of 13, Misty was considered a prodigy and didn't let anyone stop her from pursuing her passion.
