For three lessons we have been learning about the Last Day, when the Lord Jesus shall return to this earth as judge, but because the catechism is explaining the clauses of the Apostles’ Creed, it follows that having dealt with our bodily resurrection, we should next explain what we mean by ‘everlasting life.’ So, our teacher asks,
What comfort do you receive from the article about the life everlasting? And our answer is, Since I now already feel in my heart the beginning of eternal joy, I shall after this life possess perfect blessedness, such as no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived a blessedness in which to praise God forever.
Our subject for this lesson is - HEAVEN!
