A New Universe.
2 Peter 3:3-14
The world is truly beautiful, and it is God’s wonderful creation. Everything in it should fill our hearts with joy. Yet the Bible tells us that one day, perhaps soon, everything in this world will be destroyed. Peter wrote, 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
What! God is going to destroy this wonderful world! And Peter wants us to be happy about that, in fact to look forward to it with great anticipation. To hasten his coming. 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?. But why? Why would we want to see this world destroyed?
In this TableTalk episode we look at 2 Peter 3:3-14, to help us get some clarity on the future, and to discover some really practical lessons for our lives, right now. You'll need your Bible!
