Kate Kenin describes herself as an “immature” 71-year-old. Born and raised in California, Kate loved Canada even though she had never visited. In her twenties, she served in the army, got married and moved to Canada. Nowadays, after travelling across the country, she has settled in Calgary and is a proud member of the Rainbow Elders of Calgary.
In this conversation, joyfully, Kate brings us to her childhood, tells us about the stories that disrupted the status quo, and her advice for twenty-somethings.
