Munster and Ireland rugby icon Mick Galwey joins us to reflect on his exceptional sporting journey.
Prior to becoming a professional rugby player, the Currow GAA club man excelled on the Gaelic Football pitch.
Mick describes the pain of defeat he experienced with Kerry against Kerry at Minor level, and how he would put this disappointment behind him before going on to win a senior All Ireland medal in 1986.
With some marvellous anecdotes from bygone days, Mick discusses his participation across multiple sports and highlights how this exposure benefitted him both as a player and a person.
Every Tuesday well known Irish stars will share memories from their early sporting careers and reflect on the defining moments from playing Minor and how that shaped them both on and off the pitch.
