Description

The Edmonton Oilers decided it was time to make a change yesterday despite beating the Seattle Kraken 4-1 on Saturday night. Jay Woodcroft and his assistant coach Dave Manson, were relieved of their duties and replaced by Kris Knoblauch and Paul Coffey. Woodcroft leaves the Oilers with a 3-9-1 record this season; however, he has the best win percentage of all time by an Oilers coach.

Stay in Alberta, Nikita Zadorov submitted a trade request to the Calgary Flames. Zadorov is one of many pending unrestricted free agents for the Flames this season, making life difficult for their new general manager, Craig Conroy. Should the Flames begin their rebuild, or is there still a way to get everything trending in the right direction with the same players?

Also on the show, Jason Gregor and Frank Seravalli discuss the Washington Capitals 7-4-1 start, the New Jersey Devils life without Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier, and finally, the Toronto Maple Leafs and the NHL Global Series.
