Long ago, there was a county made up of three villages, with a magical forest at the centre of all three. There were tales of magical beasts in this forest, and of beings who could harness magical powers and use them at will, and the village-folk feared magic above anything else. They forbade anyone from entering the forest without good reason. But what would happen if a child from one of these villages went into the forest, discovering the true power of the forest’s magic? And what if she wasn’t afraid?
