After a week off, Ruby is back with a new theme this month: Opposites Attract! The first film this month is A Lot Like Love, a 2005 film starring Amanda Peet and Ashton Kutcher. The movie is about 2 people who run into each other at different turning points in their lives, unable to get on the same page about getting into a relationship.
Prior to the movie review, there's a LOT of new content for summer to discuss:
This episode is giving Carrie Bradshaw with many a fake-deep philosophical question: do opposites last in a relationship, do you believe in the right person but the wrong time, do we want to run into someone 4 times in 7 years before we get in a relationship? Ruby walks you through all the movie's "eras", ranking them and pointing out the best songs and fashions for each too. There are TONS of cameos, including a certain Duchess Meghan, the female lead has a strict 3-strike policy, and you won't believe what list this movie made (listen or skip to the end!).
