Lori Stanley is a certified scuba diver who finds calm and beauty underwater, despite her claustrophobia. She has a deep passion for community involvement, which started in her childhood and led her to a career in nonprofit and consulting work. She enjoys making an impact and helping other organizations achieve their goals. Her business, Lori Stanley Nonprofit Consulting, focuses on strategy and organizational sustainability. Lori believes in embracing new approaches to strategic planning, such as agile strategic planning and actively involving diverse stakeholders. She sees the value in inclusive practices and promoting equity, inclusion, and diversity in decision-making processes. Lori has worked with organizations that aim to engage different communities, such as francophone and indigenous groups, to ensure inclusivity and diverse perspectives in their strategic planning. She believes that by listening to those they serve, organizations can find simple and logical solutions to complex problems.
