Description

Edwina Currie is a broadcaster, writer, and former politician. Once one of the biggest names in British politics, Currie served as the Conservative MP for South Derbyshire from 1983 until 1997. During this time, she also served as a health minister under Margaret Thatcher, famously resigning after the salmonella-in-eggs controversy.

After leaving politics, Currie became a successful novelist and television personality, featuring on shows such as I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and Strictly Come Dancing.
