Description

Hello and buckle up as we head back to Australia for this weeks episode of Crimes Around the World and the disturbing case of Ivan Milat - The Backpacker Killer.

Sydney, Australia, the Mecca of backpackers from all over the world and even the site of the original backpacker hostel at Kings Cross, was and still is a firm favourite for young people who are looking for adventure and travel.

However, in the early 1990s, Australia was rocked by the gruesome murders of seven backpackers in Belanglo State Forest, a national park around 80 miles from Sydney. To this day, the “Backpacker Murders” remain some of the worst killings in the country’s history — and it was all the work of one disturbing predator named Ivan Milat.

Join Lozza and Cazza as we brush up our Aussie lingo and take a trip to New South Wales and try to discover what made the the man who would change the face of backpacking and hitch hiking in Australia forever and who would also become the inspiration for the cult classic horror film, Wolf Creek.
