GREAT JOY
What's the Difference between HAPPINESS & JOY?
- Happiness is fickle; it’s natural; it changes like the wind; God never promises happiness
- JOY is supernatural; it’s a gift from the Lord; it’s a fruit of God’s Spirit; God does promise joy
Luke 2:10 (ESV) And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
The phrase GREAT JOY is listed 15x in ESV.
JOY BREAKS SOUND BARRIERS…
- … it splits the earth (1 Kings 1:39-40)
- 1 Kings 1:39-40 (ESV) 39 …Zadok the priest took the horn of oil from the tent and anointed Solomon.
