Description

In today's #coffeewithatherapist, I was inspired by my own struggles and others inquiring about how we might navigate COVID-19 mandates of wearing a mask & other changes with our mental health in tact. And how we can be kind to ourselves and those who are enforcing it.

I'll be addressing the following:
1. My own psychological struggles with mask-wearing and how I've navigated them
2. Gaining big picture perspective
3. Owning our power in how we respond
4. Doing what's the least stressful for ourselves, others, and our financial, emotional, and physical wellbeing
5. Celebrating the little things and rebelling in ways that are positive "i.e. wearing sassy, colored masks"

I'd love to hear your thoughts and questions on this one. I started with a not-so-great perspective and shifted as I was able to gain perspective and realize that my ego was often navigating my frustration. I am not a medical expert or political expert, my only hopes in this video is to discuss the psychology around our responses to mandates and change during COVID-19.
