Recent highly visible examples of antisemitism from the hip artist formally known as Kanye West and basketball all-star Kyrie Irving got millions of clicks on their millions of followers on social media. Their normalization of antisemitism has helped fuel a rise in Jewish-targeted hate from the 405 to the playground. It's not lost on many that some of the most visable recent purveyors of antisemitism are Black. There has always been a complicated relationship between the Tribes and the Village, with some stemming from Jewish investors and families taking advantage of racist systems like redlining and investing in properties and land in historically Black communities.
