Nicki Pappas is an emerging writer currently working on her first memoir, As Familiar As Family. In the book, she talks about how she was groomed for toxic religion and how she escaped. In August of 2020, she started the “Broadening the Narrative” podcast where she talks with people who are broadening narrow narratives she learned in evangelicalism. She experienced many kinds of abuse growing up and was spiritually abused at her church.
