Series Description: Hope is a word we toss around somewhat flippantly, often using it interchangeably with words like “wish” or “want.” Throughout Scripture, we find hope used at times in similar contexts. But there’s also a larger more robust concept of hope that the writers want us to grasp. A hope that “does not put us to shame” and serves as “an anchor for our soul” — a "living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” For Paul and other New Testament writers, this living hope in Christ — and the assurance they find in such hope — is what fills them with strength, faith and endurances for uncertain times. This series examines some of those writings about hope and stories of hope from Scripture while encouraging us to live with the same hope in Christ.
