In this episode, Rachel and Stephanie welcome author, essayist and lover of all things Nantucket Julie Gerstenblatt to the pod! Julie's debut novel, Daughters of Nantucket, released on March 14, 2023 and it is a not to miss book of historical fiction which examines the live of three fascinating women on the great island of Nantucket during the great fire of 1846. This book promises to be the great beach read of summer 2023! Rachel and Stephanie were thrilled to talk to Julie about (what else!) her Nantucket basket which really is something!! Julie holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her essays have appeared in The Huffington Post and Cognoscenti, among others. When not writing, Julie is a college essay coach, as well as a producer and on-air host for A Mighty Blaze.
